Our local KC client is seeking a Lead Office Administrator to manage the day-to-day operations of their collaborative and fast-paced office space. The ideal candidate will be a leader who thrives in a team-oriented and entrepreneurial culture. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor the Receptionist/Front Office Coordinator, providing direction, training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee daily office operations, ensuring a positive and seamless experience for employees and guests.
- Set up and break down meeting rooms, proactively planning for upcoming meetings and events.
- Coordinate office meetings and events, including planning and execution.
- Manage office inventory, including supplies for the office and breakroom (guest drinks, coffee, etc.).
- Maintain the breakroom’s cleanliness, ensuring coffee pots and tea machines are regularly cleaned.
- Serve as the primary liaison with janitorial and maintenance crews, coordinating services and communicating updates to the office.
- Cover the receptionist’s lunch breaks and provide full coverage when the receptionist is out of the office.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive) to support administrative tasks.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in an administrative or office management role, with some supervisory experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and a welcoming, approachable demeanor.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
- Proactive mindset, capable of anticipating needs and solving problems efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other office productivity tools.
- Flexibility and adaptability to support various office needs and schedules.
